Freshman Class

6 Weeks - 18 Months Old

Our Freshman class at Little University, LLC is located at our main campus and is for ages 6 weeks - 18 months old.

Freshman Daily Schedules

Diapers will be checked every 2 hours and changed as needed and each child is fed as instructed by the parents or on demand. Parents will provide: diapers, wipes, creams/ointments and a change of clothes. Older freshmen will be transitioned to the sophomore eating schedule and sleep on a cot instead of in a crib. Parents will provide bottles of formula or breastmilk, ready to heat and serve each day. As the infant requires baby food and baby snacks, this too needs provided by the parents. Space will be provided for mothers that request to breastfeed or pump while in the center. Naps as instructed by parents or as needed. All students will be encouraged to sleep/rest from 12:30pm-2:30pm in the afternoon.

During periods between naps and feedings; teachers work on social interaction, communication (including sign language), language development, sensory stimulation, and physical development. We will go outside to enjoy the fresh air and nature when weather permits.

Infants under 12 months of age cannot have anything in their crib with them, per state rules. Children will be placed in a sleep sack; no blankets, teething jewelry, pacifiers, or comfort items are allowed in a crib. The child may have the pacifier to fall asleep, but it will be removed from the crib as soon as the child is asleep. Once the infant is 12 months old, they may be moved to a cot, the child then may have a few comfort items on the cot.
